Evaporation: This is a picture of how Evaporation works. The blue wavy arrows are pointing where the water evaporates. The bright sun up on the top of the picture heats up the water and makes it into the gas water vapour.

Condensation: Condensation is when water vapour is turned back into water. Like when water vapour is hot it floats up and when it meets the cold temperatures up there it turns in to tiny droplets which form clouds. Condensation can also occur when hot water vapour hits some thing cold like a drink.

Precipitation: Precipitation is when the water in clouds cools and falls to the ground in the form of rain, snow or hail.

Infiltration: Infiltration is when water seeps through tiny gaps in the ground and goes into the water table. The water then travels to a lake, river, stream, creek etc. and travels along to the ocean or it just goes there straight off. The water can also be sucked up by our wells and other equipment.

Pretty good graphics, Stuart, and the writings are clear as well. Usually with infiltration we do not think of the bottoms of river and lakes. It is more like the rainwater sinking into the flat land, often with grass on it.
